Featured:An Average CitizenThis relatively new comic is the tale of Adam Middleton. The prologue and most of Chapter 1 are complete. For now the comic is on hold while I catch up with some other projects and look into a few upgrades. But the next season will begins soon enough. An Average Citizen is an Half-Life 2 comic strip. When the new season begins, it will be updated about once per week.
Do you have a story, comic, image, or some form of content you want to see
here on Bored With Life? If so, just submit it by email (
submissions@bwl.hl2files.com ).
But first, make sure it meets the following specifications.
- Image based stories should be .gif, .jpg, or .png format with reasonable file sizes.
- Text fiction should be in .txt file format. You may use .html format, but only the basic tags (ie <b>, <i>, etc).
- Content should be reasonable with no pornographic materials.
- Keep the submissions sensible. We don’t want a 2GB e-mail.
- Follow the BWL file naming conventions for image stories (ie storytitle_1.jpg, storytitle_2.jpg, etc.)
Also, be patient after you make a submission. It may take time to post your materials.
If you think you submission email might have gotten lost, visit the forums to ask.
Please note that this is a free, fan-site. BWL is run by volunteers and is not designed to
sell anything or make money. In other words, we do not pay for submissions. If you submit content,
it will be hosted for free.

I'm pleased to announce today that we at BWL now have another hosted site. SF Studios... SF Studios sprang from an idea by Army_of_One and our own Cat-Life team leader BiGToM. The mod that started this process was Special Forces: Source... a new squad combat mod for the source engine. Still in development, the mod is progressing nicely and the team has already grown to 7 members. But BiGToM and Legend weren't satisfied with just one mod project. They've been discussing some other, future prospects including a single-player mod. Legend decided that making a mod studio would be a good start, so... SF Studios was born. Forum Troubles

This may only be a temporary solution... only time will tell...
But for now, the forums are back. The long and short of this sad little story would appear to be a wide variety of web crawlers hitting the site at the same time.
I don't understand it beyond someone trying to help us out and submit the forums to all search engines at once... but we regestered Google's bot, Yahoo!'s bot, MSN's bot, a Korean Search Engine's bot, a latin-american search bot, plus all the traditional spam bots, and a couple of smaller search engine bots.
However, there is also the possibility that this is somehow a database server fault. That being the case, I'm making a couple of back-ups... just in case I need to make a clean install.
...
Let's hope that isn't the case.
